An Untraditional Cake for a Modern Bride

One of the easiest ways to buck tradition and try something new on your wedding day is through your desserts. Enter: the donut hole cake; a unique spin on a traditional wedding cake, towering sky-high, dotted with bows, and ready to be snacked on over and over and over again.

I had so much fun crafting this unique dessert for an equally unique yellow and orange modern wedding at the stunning Hotel Clio. Provision Floral brought the colors of spring inside, and they crazy talented gals at Birch and Honey Collective imagined such a unique, chic setting with dainty bows (you know I love a bow moment!) and towers of butter. It was all so good, so dreamy, and so spring!

For me, one of the highlights of this shoot was just how much personality was packed into the table. Sunny daffodils, pretty pink ribbon, a tower of butter and bread. It felt simultaneously French and Coloradan, and I still am not over it! A lot of time at a wedding is spent around food, so making an iconic reception table is a must.

Still not over this pretty bouquet, Provision Floral!
